INITIAL TRUTH-IN-TAXATION MEETING - PUBLIC HEARING
Mayor Haukoos opened a public hearing on the proposed 2003 Budget and tax levy.
The necessary notice for this hearing was published on November 26, 2002.
City Manager Sparks explained that this hearing is held to accept public input
regarding the City's proposed budget and tax levy for 2003 and is commonly
called the Truth-In-Taxation initial hearing.
With no one appearing to be heard, Mayor Haukoos closed the public hearing.
Mr. Sparks informed the Council that as a result of the completion of the
hearing and due to the fact that no additional comments appear to be forthcoming
that the Council will not need to conduct a continuation hearing. He reminded
the Council that the budget and tax levy would need to be considered and voted
on at a hearing subsequent on December 9, 2002.
Mayor Haukoos announced that the hearing subsequent for the 2003 budget and tax
levy will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2002 in the City Center
