Once again, the City of Albert Lea, Division of Inspection will be sponsoring the “fourteenth” annual residential contractors building seminar for licensed residential builders, remodelers and roofers.  This will be held at the Albert Lea Elk’s Club, 1811 S.E. Broadway Avenue in Albert Lea, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Approval is pending from the State of Minnesota Department of Commerce for 7 hours continuing education credits for your residential contractors, remodeling, and roofers license renewals.  Please fill out the seminar registration form and return it to our office.

The registration fee for this years seminar will be $40.00 per person, which will include coffee and rolls for the morning break, hot lunch, and coffee or pop for the afternoon break and your handouts.

To register for this seminar, you must submit or mail the registration form along with the $40.00 registration fee payable to the “City of Albert Lea,” mailed to the City of Albert Lea Inspection Office,  Attention Jenny,  221 E. Clark St., Albert Lea, MN 56007.  ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED, SO DON’T WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE TO REGISTER!  Registration will be due by February 11, 2008.

Persons renewing their contractors license for the first time are required to receive one hour of instruction on lead abatement.  This class will be offered Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in room 109 at the Albert Lea City Hall.  If you need this training, please contact us at 377-4340.
