City of Albert Lea Fire DepartmentOUR MISSION: PROTECT AND PREVENT
The Albert Lea Fire Department is a combination department consisting 15 full-time and 15 part-time firefighters. We also consist of three shift Captains and a Fire Chief to direct our department. The Fire Chief also oversees the Inspection department. Since much of the fire departments job is prevention; Prevention through fire safety code inspections, building inspections, rental inspections, and preplanning. Our department is also part of the Freeborn County Fire Association which is a mutual aid agreement between all fire departments in the county that helps us better serve more people in southern Minnesota.
