RESOLUTION SETTING TRUTH-IN-TAXATION HEARING DATES

            WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish dates for the state-required Truth-In-Taxation hearings for the City’s 2008 annual budget; now, therefore

THE CITY OF ALBERT LEA RESOLVES:

            Sec. 1.       That the following dates are established for Truth-In-Taxation hearings regarding the 2008 Annual Budget:

            Initial Hearing                                      December   3, 2007          7 p.m.
            Continuation Hearing (if needed)        December 10, 2007          7 p.m.
            Hearing Subsequent                           December 10, 2007          7 p.m.

            Sec. 2.       That publication of these dates in accordance with Minnesota Statutes shall be in the City’s official newspaper.

            Sec. 3.       That reading of this resolution is waived by Council consent.

            Sec. 4.       That publication of this resolution shall be dispensed with under provisions of Section 3.08 of the Charter of the City of Albert Lea.

That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilor Brooks, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilors Rasmussen, Baker, Marin, Olson, Severtson, Brooks and Mayor Erdman.

And the following voted against the same: None.
